  3. I have executed the lift in the photo posted along with your words – it is scary and you have to place a great deal of trust in your partner. In many ways, dance makes for a perfect metaphor for life and relationships. Once you have been dropped or hurt – even when it is an accident, it is hard to trust one’s partner again. I have had this happen – in the dance studio and in life. Great writing:)
