Everyday I am so encouraged by the wonderful writers on WordPress and the amazing community spirit. I feel strengthened daily by the support of strong, positive, talented friends that I have made. This evening I received the most wonderful surprise, and feel so overwhelmingly touched that I would really like to share it! I have to share it, because I’m bursting with the news, I can’t keep it inside! My daughter was excited to find a parcel in our letter box, and couldn’t wait for me to arrive home to open it. Her dad wouldn’t allow her to as it was addressed to her mother. Can you imagine our surprise when I finally arrived home, and it felt like Christmas! Inside the parcel was a beautifully wrapped gift, so amazingly thought out, I have tears in my eyes! A collection of not one gift, but a whole parcel of different items. My daughter was able to guess a book, and ‘something soft’. We opened it to discover a book of Rumi poems, a beautifully bound journel with Old Istanbul depicted on the front, traditional design table cloth and pillow set, a handwritten letter, and a card with the most gorgeous kitten on the front! So much kindness and love in one parcel, that I do not have any words to express the meaning it has for me. All thoughtfully packaged my dear friend Nia. (Am sharing with permission). Nia has a soft, graceful, beautiful spirit and can be found here:

She is also a cat lover! Thank you, dear Nia, from the bottom of my heart. And also from my daughter, she has already announced that she will cherish the pillow set forever. I am going to have a fight to get them back from her!

    1. Sometimes in South Africa there are the same problems with the post, and today I was thinking, the post in Australia is usually very good, so hopefully…and I went inside and there was the parcel waiting for me! Lots of love and hugs xxx

  2. Here is love…beautiful and wonderful and how all of our world should be.I am so thrilled for you Vonita, you deserve it! Rumi…my favourite Sufi poet. This is indeed the most perfect of gifts. πŸ’πŸ˜Š A similar thing happened to me the other day when unexpectedly a friend popped round, we also look after his garden, and handed me the most amazing belated Birthday present. To be continued at a later date…right now I can feel your happiness and joy and it is contagious. x

      1. I am glad that that feeling of awe and love and kindness is still with you. Now this is how you feel when you are truly living. Glad to be here, overjoyed to be alive! I think us humans were meant to always feel like this…but sadly these moments are not there as often as we would hope for. I will share about my present in due course…keep you in suspense. Your presents looked so lovely and thoughtful, Enjoy the love my friend. They say that you are special! πŸ’

      1. Oh, I hope you do, because you are. Even if we hear it such actions (most of all when so surprising) are the most beautiful proof and they will stay in our hearts forever! You are such a lovely soul, Vonita! πŸ’–

    1. That is so lovely to hear! I will also organize to send something, I broke my own rule by including my daughter, will delete that photo soon! As a rule I don’t post of my children, except for a couple of baby ones πŸ’

      1. It’s a good rule! I do that too! I deleted everything about my girl but then I started again because so much goes on with her and I can’t help but share! πŸ˜€ It’s okay to share I think every now and then! πŸ˜€

    1. It was exciting, I must admit. I gave my address privately and in good faith. It was in response to my poetry PDF that I had sent out. Very humbling to accept kindness on such a scale! Thank you for your comments! πŸ’
