How many seasons ago
Would it be?
When we sat at the harbor
Under a midday sun
I hungered to reach out
And take your hand
Your hand in mine
I willed myself to dare
Knowing that if I did
It could not be undone
So I fought a battle
Allowed the moment to pass
And it did
The moment passed
I will never see you again
But I can still remember
The time we sat side by side
And I won a battle in my mind
Ignoring my heart for just a while
