In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Mix Tape Masterpiece.”
Hey, you know what paradise is?
It’s a lie, a fantasy we create about people and places as we’d like them to be
But you know what truth is?
It’s that little baby you’re holding, it’s that man you fought with this morning
The same one you’re going to make love with tonight
That’s truth, that’s love
Charlene – I’ve never been to me

That song is on my short list of “worst songs that I love to listen to for a giggle.” 😀

Beautiful words. I’ve always felt the same about Paradise. It is a creation of pundits and priests to allure us. It is such a bizarre trading you see. They say give a dollar here and get a million there. Is this being good or being very shrewd tradespersons?

That was beautiful, the poem and the song! How long is it ago that I heard that one… beautiful! I hope you don’t mind it but I’ll keep it in mind for making it a song of the day in a while.
