It took three weeks to stop feeling pain when breastfeeding my firstborn. It was so clear in my mind, he was born on a Friday, and the Friday three weeks after I had no pain. After that it was smooth sailing. One of the best feelings for a woman is breastfeeding. But only after the initial pain has passed.

Currently I am feeling pain. It has been a pain for two months and counting. An emotional pain. It appears in my mind at least every day. One day it will pass. And then I will be on the other side. There will be no more pain. But today, it is still there.

Waiting to be healed. Waiting to reach the other side.

Thank you to Michaela from The Path Less Travelled for nominating me for the challenge.

I really wanted to post a quote about roses and love (my two favorite things!), but couldn’t find the right quote. I looked at dozens of rose and love quotes on Sunday, but nothing spoke to me. So I left it alone. My subconscious solved it for me. I woke up with a jolt in the early hours of Monday morning, it is the seed that with the sun’s love in the spring becomes the rose. And I thought that’s exactly what I was looking for, the Rose by Bette Midler! Isn’t it amazing how our soul can sometimes speak to us?

So here’s my choice for day 3-lucky last!

I was surprised yesterday by Michaela of The Path Less Travelled By with a 3-Day Quote Challenge. I haven’t done a challenge in a while so decided to do this one. Except that I will not be nominating others, if anyone would like to participate then please feel welcome to with a pingback here.

Now for the hard part, what quote to choose? There are so many insightful, wise, encouraging quotes in the world. So I decided to have some fun and say what I really want. (Give it to me!) I’m going with song lyrics, that can just as well double up for quotes.
