Show some style and there is life
Butterflies and trees
And pins for victory
And to form a theme, simplicity
To tie it all together
Orange for Passion

When I clasp my hands to pray
And prayers are whispered in poetry
My heart reveals itself to thee
The One who, in mercy, created me
I woke up late and have to rush
There is no time to waste
Please! Let me write before I go
I need to write a poem
For words are in my head
From when I wake to when I sleep
I never get a break
Does this happen to anyone else?

To write in the style of another writer
Would be an impossible thing to do
For writing is as a signature
However hard you try and imitate
It will always be in the style
Of the one and only you

Take my hand and love me forever
Hold me close and never let me go
Cherish me and I will be yours
Until the sun sets and rises no more
Tears escape from my eyes
Leaving trails of salt
Etched on my face
As thoughts of you
Fill my mind and leave
Me wanting more of you
Driving along an empty road
Wondering what lies ahead of me
Hoping there will be strength
And more to spare
To carry me to that place
Where I am meant to be

Further and further away
Until I see in front of me
Three doors – A, B and C
I look left and right
And then proceed straight ahead
Very cautiously
To see beyond the Door of B
Trees of peace, so lush and green
Air so fresh, very real to me
My nightmare is passed and
I am surrounded by a
Glorious Field of Dreams
My heart is yours to share
Your burdens will I bear
I will love you for your life
And shield you from all strife
On your way to go and die
On your way to say goodbye
No more words are left to say
No more prayers are left to pray
You did wrong, and now you pay
There is no mercy in this day
