Sometimes
Days were so dark that
Even the glow of a candle
Could not shed a flicker of light

But eventually
The darkness passed
And a summer sunflower
Could warm my shoulder again

      2. I started on a high, and then my mood plummeted around midday and that’s where it’s stayed. At the bottom of the ocean with a dead weight attached. Thank you for asking!
