In seasons past we sat and talked
About life and death and everything
We spoke about the future and we laughed
Enraptured by what we both had found
Never enough, always wanting more
Our virgin hearts so unafraid
Of hurt or pain of going there
Oh! How my heart bleeds in my chest
When all I see now is an empty chair

Sad, but love is truest at its best moments – till death do us part. 🙂

Funny [not the haha type] you spoke about seasons but you choose a picture of Fall; it matches the “falling” of feelings, emotions and the sad memory at the end. Interesting :).

That’s a nice thought, thank you! I’ve always referred to Fall as autumn (southern hemisphere!) I like the analogy of falling and Fall 🙂

I like using Fall because everything on trees look like their falling :).

That feeling of loving and being loved back in return’s the greatest feeling and gift ever! Better to have been there and done that, than not at all! Fond memories can keep the heart alive and pumping, even when all’s but fizzled off and away! And they will eventually come to an abrupt end, as with all things good and bad! Afterall, nothing’s built or made to last forever! Make the most and cherish every moments is what we oughta do!
Thanks for this Vonita, its pretty thought-provoking! 😊
