In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Study Abroad.”
I would live in Cape Town
That beautiful city by the sea—
The home of my mother’s birth
I would live near family
And all those dear to me

That’s a lovely one, now that I know that you are from that area.

My mother was born in Cape Town, but moved to Johannesburg (2 hour flight away) when she married my father. So I grew up in Johannesburg and relocated to Sydney in 2007. I’ve been back three times (last time was a year ago – I went to Johannesburg and Cape Town) 🙂

Wow, you moved not just around the corner. I guess living in Australia is a bit more relaxing. But South Africa must be a dream regarding nature.

South Africa has wonderful natural scenery, and national parks. It is definitely more relaxed living in Australia, but I do miss my family and friends xx
