My bedroom is a total mess
My living room and kitchen too
A simple reason for this does exist
My mind was hijacked by the pen

Now all I want to do is write
Or more truthfully
It should be known as type
Even now the lights are off

Everyone fast asleep
But I am listening to the rain
And all I want to do is
Write or should that be known as type?
