I turn to the sun
And see brightness and light
I look within
And feel courage and life
In the depths of despair
I hold out my arms
And am gently lifted
From the dark well surrounds
To the higher, brighter
Sun-drenched place
Of life, and light, and safety

“I know you think that I shouldn’t still love you,
Or tell you that.
But if I didn’t say it, well I’d still have felt it
Where’s the sense in that?”
…
“I’m in love and always will be”

Only Yesterday
Eyes of Deceipt
Tell me
Please tell me the truth
Of how eyes can look into my own
Melting my heart and caressing my skin
How do eyes reflect love and care
When there is nothing to reflect?
Tell me the truth
So I can use it as salt on my open wound
So that it would burn so deeply
That I would never, no never
Dare look into those eyes –
Eyes of deceipt
Ever again
Loving Another
Heart and Soul
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Victory.”
Pleased to say I started reading this book gifted to me Christmas 2008, and finally finished it. This sure is a victory. Only took me 7 years to get there. Has anyone else read it? Are there any Maeve Binchy fans? What half-read book to read next?
Freedom Forever
Waking up
Never knowing if today
Might be our last
Be at peace
Be content
Love
And if today would be our last
Allow spirit to always live
Freedom to love
Freedom to live
Freedom to laugh
Freedom to be
Freedom forever
