3-Day Quote Challenge 2

Have a lovely day (or night!) I’m in the future, I’ve just woken up to Monday morning xo

3-Day Quote Challenge

I was surprised yesterday by Michaela of The Path Less Travelled By with a 3-Day Quote Challenge. I haven’t done a challenge in a while so decided to do this one. Except that I will not be nominating others, if anyone would like to participate then please feel welcome to with a pingback here.

Now for the hard part, what quote to choose? There are so many insightful, wise, encouraging quotes in the world. So I decided to have some fun and say what I really want. (Give it to me!) I’m going with song lyrics, that can just as well double up for quotes.

Here goes! (Thanks once again to Michaela)

Quote #1

It’s Happened

All my aching

All my craving

Desires

Prayers

Have scattered like

Torn pieces of paper

On a hot windy day

I no longer want you

I no longer need you

I can see through you

It’s happened

It’s gone

Magic

Nature’s power in creating beauty. A rose bud getting ready to be opened by the sun. It is magic.

In Hindsight

The good thing is:

It doesn’t matter what smart, sexy, super-intelligent, sassy comments I could have made, or how I could have responded.

Because you would still be you.

Glad

Day after day

And night after night

Waiting and hoping

And biding my time

I feel so glad

I am relieved

That finally

I can see

The mask

The face

The smile

So fake

And I am glad

To have

Escaped

I am free

I am me

And glad to be

Fantasy

Sometimes we need a big knock over our heads to jolt us back to reality. Even if fantasy is more comforting. But the fantasy never becomes real, does it? And reality has its claws all over us. No escape.
