Today was a day that I wish wasn’t
That I could take away
Make it disappear
I wish I hadn’t woken
From the dreams that entertained
From protective membranes
Keeping me from harm
But I woke up
To a life less lived
And though I tried to catch the dreams
They quickly vaporised
