It was yesterday
When you took my breath away
It was yesterday
When you lifted me off my feet
It was yesterday
All those memories behind me
And now today
You are nowhere to be found

It was yesterday
When you took my breath away
It was yesterday
When you lifted me off my feet
It was yesterday
All those memories behind me
And now today
You are nowhere to be found
You’re not looking hard enough… He is hiding in your heart. 🙂
On a serious note, so sad your poem is. Often, the one you love is the one that can’t be found.

Thanks for these comments Ompong! I need to start writing more upbeat poems, but am allowing my soul to speak and not to dictate what it should be saying, because that wouldn’t work either, would it?

No it won’t. Your poem should come from what your heart want to say. Otherwise, it will not be as beautiful as what you’re writing.

I hear the scratches… 😉 I love the poem. Asked myself the same questions for a while.

The moment the way you see (feel) it – that’s what poetry is – lovely poem, Vonita 🙂
