Pink Peony

Bright Pink Flower

Basket of flowers
Being delivered today
Rush past my being
With no small delay

My heart wells up
My soul is touched
To have but a petal
In palm of hand clutched

My yearning is felt
A small gift breaks free
Released from its hold
Pink peony for me

I lurch through the crowd
Stem falls to the floor
My heart sings out loud
To my Creator once more

A poem from my book Passion Through Poetry, blogged here in honour of:
Pow go the peonies

  1. When my day is down and I am feeling low, your poems lighten up my heart all the time when I came across to read it. You have the flow in writing love poems that brightens people’s mind with positivity energy. I just love it.

I must check up your other poems as well – I was ill for more than a week. Got a whole complete package of illness and I laid in bed not knowing if the sun is up or down …

Now, I am still feeling groogy, but the least the fever is gone now.

Wish you a lovely day, lovely lady! 😉

    1. Not at all! I was terrible at languages, much better at math! I have a book PDF I can email you if you would like to read it? I wrote it soon after I started writing poetry! (I will be offline so will only be able to do that next week) x
