In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “I’d Like to Thank My Cats.”
I’d like to thank my cats
But I don’t have any so instead
I will have to thank the rats
I can hear in the ceiling overhead
The award I do not know
I’ve never put on a show
My singing hurts the ears
Of those who can hear
So these words will have to
Sing a song for me

Actually, we have been hearing strange noises above our bedroom ceiling of late! So either possums on the roof, or uninvited guests 🙂
