Migraine

image

An elastic is wrapped
Around my head tightening
And squeezing itself so that the
Pain is inescapable leaving
Me nowhere to escape and
Nowhere to hide

  1. I’ll keep you in my prayers as I know how severe migraines can be (light/noise sensitivity, vertigo, black outs, lethargy, nausea, etc). Yes, get some rest if possible. I look forward to your announcement of relief. By the way, if you don’t despise the taste of ginger, ginger tea or candy might help, too.

  2. I had a sudden onset of migraine after a MVA. After 2 years they found out that my neck had been broken and my spinal cord crushed and so, the brilliant doctors were able to help me. Not so for the real migraine suffered tho’ so you have my deepest sympathy. I still get the burning throbs, visions, throwing up and all that goes with a migraine but it is not as bad these days. I soak my feet in a tub of the hottest water I can, to draw the blood to my feet. It does not always work, but it is soothing. Then I hit the hard stuff! Take care of your beautiful self.

    1. Thank you, it is always strange to me how I can be so ill one day (unable to stand or walk or dress), and as soon as it lifts, I feel like I am in perfect health. I get headaches often but normally not as bad as it was on the weekend. I was only able to write this post once it started lifting because in the depths of it I was unable to do anything. Thank you for caring 🙂
