I will
Dive
Down
Deep
Past
All my fears
My insecurities
My failures
I will
Swim
Through all my
Layers
Until I reach
That tiny
Hidden place
Of
Love
And acceptance
And peace
I will breathe it all in
And bring it to the
Surface
To shine.
I will
Dive
Down
Deep
Past
All my fears
My insecurities
My failures
I will
Swim
Through all my
Layers
Until I reach
That tiny
Hidden place
Of
Love
And acceptance
And peace
I will breathe it all in
And bring it to the
Surface
To shine.
There is a grace to be found
In the difficulty of each day
For without the struggle
There will never be
Victory
Another day
Of a finite count
Washed downstream
To an endless ocean
Past behind
Mystery ahead
Edging forward to
A certain victory
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Victory.”
Pleased to say I started reading this book gifted to me Christmas 2008, and finally finished it. This sure is a victory. Only took me 7 years to get there. Has anyone else read it? Are there any Maeve Binchy fans? What half-read book to read next?
Facing the enemy
I fear my foe
Feeling my weakness
I pray for help
Forgetting myself
I yield my all
One step forward
To victory I go
One step forward
To heaven, to home
