When the world becomes too much
And my shoulders feel too sore
I find a quiet spot snd sit alone
Until strength is found to carry on some more
I will be on retreat for the next four days (no internet access)
Will be back on Monday
Wishing you all the best till then.
Your love in all its to and fros
Highs and lows
Is as sunburn after a day on the beach
The bliss and joy and fun in the sun
Burns the skin leaving welts of whippings so bad
And I wonder
What did I ever do to make you behave
And do the things you do, behave as you always do?
If ever there was anyone who didn’t deserve my love, well what can I say? It’s you
In fields of lavender and green
I feel my soul’s deep need of Thee
I close my eyes and allow all calm
To wash me clean and make me whole

Remember me
With a smile on my face
For posterity
Feeling loved and happy
Love me
Through all my struggles and despair
Remember me
For my faith and hope and vulnerability
Forgive me
For when I disappoint
And I will remember you
I will forgive you too
And I will love you with all my heart

Industrial a structure
As the car’s rear lights
I confidently declared
To someone not very close to me
That I am a writer
Without having written
Much of anything at all
But simply stating
With calm assurance
That I code because I write
Leaving me with no choice
But to lift my hands
And write
Which way I ponder?
There is only one way and
That is straight ahead
