Bitter Pill
Tis a bitter pill
When mind overrules heart
And desires are denied
Tis a bitter pill
When two are at odds
And only one can decide
Tis a bitter pill
That my disappointment
Would be your delight
Tis a bitter pill
That at the start of every night
You are not here by my side
Exposed
When painful words are truth
When mirrors do not lie
When weaknesses are exposed
When defenses do not stand
When everything we did and know
Only brought us to a place of
Harsh reality
Then the only way forward
Is alone
Perfumed
My heart is perfumed

God’s unfailing grace
His mercy has no end

Knackered
My grandmother and mother used to often use the word ‘knackered’. Especially after a long, tedious shopping expedition. Or something like that. It would really ‘knacker’ them. I’ve never used the word.
And on an aside. Thank You for support and comments and likes. My friends on WordPress all over the world are so lovely and encouraging and helpful.
Everything is fine in reality. Sometimes I am struggling with mood management, and writing is an outlet. I am managing to hold everything together.
And yay for late Saturday morning in bed.

I have no idea
How to erase the gloom
The dull ache that sits on my heart
Like a thick heavy fog
Unable to move

Beams of light force their way
Through the blanket of clouds
To reach the earth and shine
Light on life, clearing the fog

Fruits of Grace
The roots of our love
Took hold
And slowly it anchored
Our life
Threw good and bad
And up and down
And everything in between
Over time
Our love grew into a tree
Bearing fruits of grace
No Escape
A gray fog hangs over me
I try to run
I try to hide
I try to escape
But the faster I go
The blacker the cloud becomes
Zip
The sad thing is, I tried on my wedding dress a few years ago and the zip doesn’t zip up anymore 😂 and as you can see, I was able to wear it at one point!
