Writing Dreams

I consumed to ease my burdened heart

I traveled to take my pain away

I swam until I could no longer see the shore

I married, gave birth, I cried

I mothered, played games, I laughed

I hugged, made love, I lived

And to sooth my troubled soul

I wrote my dreams

To life

Green Grass

Past days are dust

Grey smokey remnants of a

Time that was and

Is no more and fire

Fades from my view

As I focus on a sharp

Crisp blade of grass

That is green.

Blushing Clouds

As the sun’s rays
Die from the ebbing day,
A celestial glow falls
On the waters below.

The clouds blush and bid
Day farewell, shyly
Welcoming night, as the sun
Drops and the light fails.

Blurred

Your face flickers across my mind

Your touch lingers across my flesh

Your kiss savors my nakedness

Our moments merge into one

So clear and yet so

Blurred

Tango – A Duet

I’ve had the wonderful privilege of collaborating with Herbert Uba from Beautiful Lies to write a poem. I’m pleased to present our work!

Tango.

If romance were our song
And you can take the lead
Then my heart will soar –
Passion’s tiny seed.

We can sing and dance to it
Carelessly beautiful, it wows the stars;
Step on each other’s toes, alright;
Our love will heal the scars.

The sun bids the day farewell
As the moon wakens sleeping night
We are ready, the scene is set!
Our stage reflects the sparkling light.

What evil we unleash on a young night,
With roses and scented candles?
Chocolate that gives kiss so much taste,
It shudders our love handles?

So with fervor we tango
Together the whole night through
With hope that is beckoning
A love for me and you.

Mystical Sea

I let all those things go

That angrily torment

My pierced naked

Flesh

All those expectations

That rob my fleeting

Peace

All the jealousies

That turn my blood

Green

All the fantasies

That will never be

Fulfilled

All the nightmares that

Haunt my waking

Days

I let them go

And watch them

Sink

Into the depths

Of a brooding mystical

Sea

Alive

Your smokey eyes are a balm

Your accent weakens my resolve

My heart is beating

 My pulse is racing

I am alive

I got nothing

I’ve got nothing  to say to you really

I wish I had something to say

But I got nothin’

Just a plain old blank
