When you are far
When you are near
Where ever you may be
You will always be
Only moments away
From these arms

When you are far
When you are near
Where ever you may be
You will always be
Only moments away
From these arms
Maybe today is the day
My heart cries out for you
Maybe today is the day
You hear my crying heart
Maybe tonight is the night
Our love takes us through the dark
Holding on to each other
Embracing our passion
Breathing our dreams
Forgetting the world
Only you
Only me
Only us
Maybe?

Knock knock!!
Who’s there?
No one
No one who?
Ha ha, joke’s on you!

Sometimes
Days were so dark that
Even the glow of a candle
Could not shed a flicker of light
But eventually
The darkness passed
And a summer sunflower
Could warm my shoulder again

So this is what I find strategically placed next to my bed. First thing I see every morning when I open my eyes. Remnants of our luxury dream holiday in April – dark chocolate and raspberry squares, courtesy Ghirardelli of San Francisco. (Because who doesn’t want to wake up to the sight of chocolate?) Well, I am no longer eating any, except for these ten squares being carefully rationed. Raspberry covered in dark chocolate. Hmmm, yummo. My luxury!
(I have five left, and being a meany and not sharing 😀)
If I could paint angels
I would paint angels surrounding me
I would paint all the souls I miss every day
Into life and have them here to stay
I would paint them from my heart
So they could be outside me
And I would never throw
The paintings
Away
A lone butterfly
Sharing splashes of color
Against pure, clean white
I had stubborn fat –
Those cells that just refused
To budge
So I had them sucked out
And it was the best thing
I ever did
I have a friend very close to me
Who wonders why it was meant to be
Why are we here? What is it for
Is there any reason to be here at all?
I do not know, there are no words
To justify why we are in the world
All I have is all I know
That I am glad for this moment now
To be alive and to be aware
To be a part of our world to share
So while we breathe – live in harmony
For each life forms the world’s company
Dogs and cats and humans too
Snakes and rats and a kangaroo
For without this life breathed into us
It would all be bleak, nothing to discuss
So let us praise, let us rejoice
Let us sing with a joyful voice
For this common force, the world we share
For our earth and pure magic air
