In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Feeling Fancy.”
There is no money in the world
That could buy me a day with you
My day of extravagance
Is a day spent with me
Being alone and being free
If you see me walking past
Walk on by

There is no money in the world
That could buy me a day with you
My day of extravagance
Is a day spent with me
Being alone and being free
If you see me walking past
Walk on by
A friendship forced
Is no friendship at all
At times when I extend my hand
And my hand is left to touch the air
At times like these it would be wise
To withdraw my hand and bring it back
To my side, because a friendship can
Neither be forced or coerced
It makes me feel a yearning
But then sad I must be
Walk on by
Just as writing is music to my eyes
So is music writing to my ears
And to have some fun, for perhaps on Mondays
We could do with some, it is karaoke time
Welcome to suggest your own
Happy to add them along with mine
It might really save others
From my selection showing my age LOL
Karaoke Time! 🙂

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Recently Acquired.”
Words create worlds
And so I’ve learnt
What we think
Becomes our reality
Stronger and stronger
I can feel myself grow
From hiding, low self esteem
Darkness, depression
To growth and strength
And love and light
What we share can touch
The hearts of others
What I’ve learnt about blogging
Is the power of words
I wish
When we make friends we could keep them forever
I wish
When feeling sad, it could be waved away like feathers
I wish
When nighttime arrives, my dream will be one to treasure
I wish
When my fingers start to burn, there will be verses to write
I wish
When I feel pain, there will be those who would take the time
I wish
When I have something to share, there will be those who care
I wish
When I kneel to pray, my prayers reach where they need to go
I pray
For happiness and love, and all things good
I wish
as if there are plenty of schools in the world
there is an empty school right here in Sydney
abandoned and not used
reminding us how much
education is key
In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Gut Feeling.”
If an instinct is a feeling
I follow my instinct all the time
For every day in every way
I allow the feeling to lead and guide
If I am in doubt over what to do
Some quietness to get in tune
To what I feel, and never question
How I feel, because therein lies the truth
I have ended friendships, been married, given birth, moved countries, changed jobs, remained at one for many years, I have authored a book and a blog, learning design and soon mobile development, I have questioned others when they have not liked the questions, or the answers or the reply, and I have paid the price of doing so, following one’s instinct is not always the easiest thing to do, there is sometimes pain and pain some more, but it is the only way to go
I live my life by feeling
I write to give my feeling life
Although they now be
Grown, will never forget two
Sweet babies of mine
