Cee’s Black & White Challenge: Textures

Wet or dry
Hard or soft
Opposites attract
Yin or yang

Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Textures

One Word Photo Challenge: Beige

I’ve been staring at
This lamp for two days when it
Occurred to me – Beige

A Child

image

Born in innocence
The love of a child
Seed falling to earth
To germinate and grow
Becoming citizens of this
World, each babe that is born
Carries a light and a love
Holy blessings bestow
Keeping company with
Truth and liberty, to
Brighten our world

Thank you for your kind
Words of support, I will reply
To each one a bit later

Migraine

image

An elastic is wrapped
Around my head tightening
And squeezing itself so that the
Pain is inescapable leaving
Me nowhere to escape and
Nowhere to hide

Thank you for previous comments
That have been left unreplied
Will reply when I am well again

Dawn and Dusk

image

Dawn

Sunrise surrounds me
As the morning birds sing
Their morning song
Softy and sweetly
Sharing morning stories
Of new days and of life
And hope surreal

image

Dusk

Dogs bark and growl
As the sun dissolves
From the day and is replaced
By a quarter moon
The wolves howl and night owls
Awaken from their slumber
To greet the
Deep dank darkness
Of a dying day

Forbidden Love

image

I want to be with you
When you wake up
And when you go to sleep
I want to be the one you hold
When you laugh
And when you cry
I want to be with you
When you mourn
And when you love
I want to be the one you love
When you grow old
And when you die
I want to be with you

Burning House

image

https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_prompt/burning-down-the-house/

My house is on fire
Have nowhere to go
My home is in flames
The timbers are low
I look to the east
I look to the west
And feel my heart ache
My soul’s treasure chest
Fruits of my faith
Are what I would take
Hope, faith, joy, love and peace
Everything else I could forsake

Stolen Embrace

image

My senses ignite
At thoughts of your
Scent and delight
At memories of
Your closeness of
Being, I remember
Your voice, your
Hands, your eyes
And I know I will
Never forget you
Lifting me off my
Feet in a stolen
Embrace
