My tears etch tracks
Down the sides of my face
Flowing unhindered
Unseen
My cries break the silence
Of the overcast day
Speaking of anguish
Unheard
My torment is ignored
And in all my sorrow
My pain
I feel like you don’t love me
And if I need to say that again
It feels as though
You don’t love me

Merciless Dawn

Accusations
Scream inside my mind
Challenging
My every move
My every word
I close my eyes
And dream
Of life
And
Freedom from
The world around
The world within
Battles fought
And many lost
I am free until
A merciless
Dawn
Returns me to
My inner
Strife

My life is in your hands
My life is in my hands

Walking to You

There is a journey I’m walking
Walking alone
The path is marked out
To futures unknown
Long distance between us
Stretches ahead
The hours that separate
I patiently tread
Chasm

It has been nearly two years since I last returned ‘home’. A loved one said to me that he dreams about me at night. Distance separates so that others dream of me, as I dream of my mother who has long passed away. And yet I am still alive. Often we hear or even say, the world nowadays is connected and has become so small. But yet, when souls are separated, the world doesn’t feel small at all. It feels as if there are great chasms that exist, insurmountable to pass.
I am here
You are there
We are apart though
Never in heart
CFFC: Building and Trees
I decided to participate this week in Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge by taking photos on my way to work and back home again. This is what I came up with!

Tree standing guard

Church shaded by trees

Crossing the road

Walking towards my work building

Across the road from my work

Random house and tree on my way home

My next door neighbor
And I’m home!
Thank you for joining me on my travels today 🙂
December Morning
I have woken up to the first of December here on a bright, sunny day in Sydney (blue skies without a hint of cloud), and for the past few days I’ve had one song on my mind. Put a little love in your heart!
Think of your fellow man, lend him a helping hand
Put a little love in your heart
You see, it’s getting late, oh, please don’t hesitate
Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
And the world will be a better place for you and me
You just wait and see
Another day goes by, and still the children cry
Put a little love in your heart
If you want the world to know, we won’t let hatred grow
Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
And the world will be a better place for you and me
You just wait and see. Wait and see
Take a good look around and if you’re lookin’ down
Put a little love in your heart
I hope when you decide kindness will be your guide
Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
And the world will be a better place for you and me
You just wait and see
Put a little love in your heart
Put a little love in your heart
Delicious

My flesh aches for yours
Just one more time
To feel your arms
Protecting me
I yearn for you
My lover and friend
I close my eyes to dream
Sweet dreams of kisses
So soft and delicious
That will never be
Again
Transition
Like wind in the tree
Vapor in air
Subtle, lingering scent
And as quickly they lived
As quickly they died…

Burying a Child
Today I went to a funeral of a child. A child so full of life and enthusiasm and joy. I cannot even begin to imagine what the parents are going through, how the pain in their heart will make each new day seem impossible. No parent should have to bury their child. And yet it happens. I have friends (more than one) who have lost a child. We are born into this life. And one day we will die. We are not told when or how. I try and teach my children this. Do not be afraid of death. Because it can happen to anyone at anytime. It is up to us to make each day count, for we are not guaranteed another. Peace be with you.
