Church bells in the city
Ring out so clear
Sounding out loud
Declaring to all the world
That Friday night
Upon us, is here
As sure as the sun will rise
Days will turn to night
Until we are faced
With the comfort and grace
Of church bells chiming
In the city, once more
Insomnia
Night escapes
Like water slipping through my fingers
Every second drawing morning closer
And pushing time away and yet
I cannot sleep for my mind
Is not at rest
Chained
Fighting feelings
Battles betrayed
Romancing Romeo
Wish he had stayed
Fingers twitching
Itching to write
Hand stays chained
He was never my knight
Song of Heaven
From depths of despair
My heart cries out
When all is hopeless
I find my hope
My tears are dried
My joy returns
Songs of praise
Sound loud and true
I sink to my knees
My Lord, my God –
