My life is a desert
No water to be found
My well has run dry –
Fading hope has died.
I kneel before thee
My Savior and King
Plead for living waters –
To quench my soul’s deep

Look Up
Canopy of cloud
Covering eternity –
Endless skies above
Life Goes On
I had a crush on someone.
His blue eyes melted mine.
He melted me.
I changed my dress, my hair, my walk, my talk.
Anything for him to notice me.
And he did.
Before he noticed someone else.
Yesterday
Their baby was born.
Darkness Descending
A shadow without light
Would ne’er a shadow be named
But rather darkness descending
On never ending night
Like moonlight shadows
And shadows with light
A soul’s sore pain echoes
Sweet victory’s delight
One side of a coin
Is one half of a whole
The yin and the yang –
Whole is more than its parts
Forlorn
An empty swing stands
Forlorn, bearing echoes of
Laughter long ago
Forbidden
My love
Your love
Our love
Forbidden behind
A secret lock and
Key
For now
And always forever
Aching to be
Unchained
Unlocked
Unhidden
Free
Layers
Layers upon layer
Fell to the floor
Revealing flesh
Behind closed door
The music played
Drowning our cries
The passion between us
Never disguised
Alone
I sit alone
And watch the sky
I watch the clouds
Go floating by
I sit awhile
And think of you
I think of all
That we went through
And I know that
I never have
And never will
Love anyone
As much as my heart
Cries out every day
