waiting

empty bench covered in leaves

wind shaking tired trees

dry wood and rusted metal

scent of fall’s fresh breath

cool air kissing me

alone and lonely

Hiding from the world

So no-one sees my face

I’d rather be alone

In an empty space.

I’m in the dark

There is no hope

Perhaps one day

I’ll learn to cope.

Red or Blue?

First steps for change
Sweep the old away
Prepare yourself for new

First steps for change
One new dawn, a new day –
Will skies be red, or rather blue?

What Camera?

I’m going to learn about photography! So I can do justice to roses 🙂 and petals.

University of Sydney is holding a basics course in December. But I need a camera. Does the following even make any sense?

“To participate in this photography course, participants must bring their own camera (DSLR, FourThirds or Micro FourThirds camera with manual exposure controls and RAW file recording capability).”

Yes, I’m a beginner. Have no idea what that even means. What camera should I buy?

Against Nature

The first time a connection with someone new is made, there is a clean slate between those two people. There is nothing on the slate, the connection is unwritten. And from that single moment, the image begins to form.

Pictures.

Drawings.

Sketches.

Lines.

Colors.

Blacks.

Whites.

Emotions.

All these things merge to form a bigger picture. And after a while, we may like what we see. Or not. Does the image presented before us make us happy? Does it uplift? Does it encourage?

Or does it drain and destroy and suck energy and make us want to resist? If it does, perhaps for our own sanity we need to walk away. I hate closing doors. It is against my nature.

Perhaps this is my lesson?
