Vonita presents The Light
(my first ever poem)

Kindly put to music and performed by Maria Panova.

When all around is dark
And all you know is night
Feel the hope within
And move towards the light

When sadness overwhelms
And you have lost your sight
A few gentle steps
Moving towards the light

When wounds begin to heal
We sense that near delight
Stirs our waking heart
Embracing inner light

When happiness is found
And all is calm and bright
Ever keep on reaching
Onwards towards the light

  1. Vonita, Vonita, Pretty, Pretty, Bonita, Bonita, I really like your style and your outlook in life! And your Java skill! (I am somewhat of a coder but, the most important Java has been in my back side for a long time!)
Anyhow, I thought I had commented and followed you before, but, today I got me another following from you in https://inspirationalbythia.wordpress.com/ did you read my new post? You know what? I do a lot of pondering in my Father’s sight for further inspiration on how to continue posting.
It has come to me that a lot of people fear to surrender their minds & emotions to the Almighty because they feared to be controlled by an iron hand!
Ha Ha! The opposite is the truth. The Almighty does not control us that way. Only think of a father or a mother lovingly guiding and teaching his/her child with such care & devotion! That’s how my Father takes care of me and that’s what Father wants me to convey to all His children now, because, now is the time to do so.
I hope you continue to follow the site and connect with my spirit more than with my physical self because of my own? I do nothing but goof up! And believe me! I don’t have an inferiority complex, I just speak the truth of the matter! 🙂

  5. I am very pleased to meet you, South African-to-Australian Vonita. The fact that you set your first verse to music, performed it, and posted it on your “You” page, wins me over at first sight and sound. Have a great day. — Mark

  8. Hi Vonita, Your poetry is amazing. I too used to work in IT but working for long hours used to sap my creativity. It’s good that you are able to pursue your passion. I look forward to reading your poems.
