Insecurity rises in my chest
Long dark abyss
Wanting to cling
To an anchor post
But all I have
Is a deep dank well
My thoughts wander
Not knowing where to rest
No closure is found
No thank you is given
And all that remains
Are fragments of
The best I gave away

I love the picture because it feels as if that boat was not anchored but ready to sail to new shores when reading the words.

This is exactly how I have been feeling about a recent relationship I had with a best friend. It describes it perfectly.

Wonderful poem. I’m currently writing about 4 steps to get rid of that insecurity so it’s nice to get some inspiration from other blogs. Especially a wonderful poem like this.
Keep it up 🙂

Beautiful poem. Insecurity feels the same for me. I was pondering it one day as a way to understand how to move from insecurity to security. Here is my blog post…maybe it will help. It was an epiphany (spelling ?) https://unbreakablejoy.wordpress.com/?s=so+insecure
