Why do people lie?
Is it because they do not like the truth
Is it because they do not like the question
Is it because they do not like the answer
Is it because it is simply easier to explain
Is it because there is a fear of being judged
Is it because they are afraid of what might be
Is it because they are scared to tell the truth
Is it because it feels the safer option
Tell me, why did you lie to me?

Is it because the truth is hardly okay? Did you lie to keep the pain away? The thing about lies is, they hurt anyway.

People lie…to lay the truth low…since we believe we are supreme and truth is a slave
