Beckoning hope and promising
Future
Of stars a-glitter and full moons;
Suns of gold and a whispering morn
Night separates here from there
Dark from light
A freezing winter from fall.
Dreams,
Transport me!
Carry me safely
Hold me tenderly
Deliver me to the other
Side.
Swimming further
Further away
From my life
And all I held dear
Swimming forward
Pressing on
To the future
And waters so clear
Closer I edge –
Closer to you
Wait for me
I will draw near
Touch me
Wrap me in love
Be gentle
Kiss away my fear
Looking to the future
With all my past as dust
Unexplored territories
Fill my view
I know not what
My days will hold
But I know my courage
Will see me through
