Together
Suddenly
I looked for love
Not realizing that you were right there
I looked past you
Seeking a happiness that couldn’t be found
You watched me
While I scanned my surroundings
You held my hand
When I ached for contact
I brushed it away
As if it had never happened
And when I cried
You wiped my tears
So gently that I never noticed
And then
In a sudden moment
My eyes opened
I saw
I realized
I noticed
Courageous
Your spine is strong
When I need support
You are my strength
When I need a friend
All through my life
Right by my side
You watch my back
And lend me yours
Saddle Up!
Without you I would be a shadow
Of the help I could extend to you

There are so many words that I type
Too much for even me, should I discard
