Crying Rain

image

Lights offer the faintest
Flickering of hope while
Solitary umbrella offers
Shelter from the constant
Trickle of rain and tears

Raindrop Kisses

image

Rain drops start falling
As the clouds begin to cry
I stand alone and close my eyes –
Welcome gentle kisses as
They softly caress my
Undressed skin

Bus Travel

Rain trickles down the
Sides of the bus, commuters
Make their way to work

Invisible Line

There is a crack in the roof
An invisible line that cannot be seen
And no-one would know, nor perhaps
No-one would care
But when it starts to rain
And the rain turns to a storm
The crack in the roof
Makes itself known

Storm

storm

I wanted to love you
And hold you, and
Cherish you
But the blue was
Lost behind the clouds
Lightning replaced the sun
Now all I want
Is shelter from the storm

Rain

green-beads

The rain is falling
Humming soft musical tunes
Washing the world clean

Raindrop

image

A drop of rain
Clings tentatively
In time’s brief moment
Until it cannot anymore
It’s grip is lost
Before falling
To the floor

“Ephemeral.”

Lightning has her Say

Listening to the rain
Cleaning life’s dirt away
Thunder roars his agreement
As the lightning has her say

Grey Clouds

Hot, sweltering days
Given way overnight to
Grey, heavy rainclouds
