Words have power
I see it every day
Building up and
Breaking down
It forces either way
Words have power
This I know
For what is typed
And what is said
Reveals the naked soul
Words have power
I see it every day
Building up and
Breaking down
It forces either way
Words have power
This I know
For what is typed
And what is said
Reveals the naked soul

Memories in my mind
Question their being
Beg me to share
The brief moment
They were
Briefly and fleetingly
Created with care
And lasted but
A few blinks only
Of the eternal prayer
Like wind in the trees
Vapor in air
Subtle lingering scent
And as soon as they lived
As quickly they died
I will seek Thee Lord
With all my heart
For Thou alone can satisfy
When other waters fail –
My living God will quench my thirst

His mercies each morning abound
With compassion never failing
As before His throne
We wait
Inspired by:
Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
She felt compassion for the pain that kept recurring, the ache that needed soothing, the void that needed to be filled, the tears that never dried. Because she had felt it herself. She understood.
For so long she held out for a glimpse. Finally, there he was. Crossing the road, he quickly disappeared. Away from her. Perhaps in time they may meet again. Perhaps then she will have the right words. Perhaps then she will have broken through herself. Perhaps then she won’t care.
An unsettled cloak settles over my unpeaceful mind – furious teeth gnawing at disintegrating harmony, an inner life in strife with the natural, heaven and earth, dark and light, black and white, peace and war, tears and smiles, confusion and conflict reigning, God be with me, and with us all.

Value each day
Each moment
Each breath
For one day
The last dawn will rise
All the moments will have passed
And your breath will be no more.

Invisible flickering flame
Into our core is breathed
Birthing physical form
Bound to this earthly realm
But creating life for eternity
Sweet angels would sing
Heavenly choir rejoice
All emptiness filled
When creation perfects
Glorious souls for company
