Girls Fashion Evening
On a Friday night at our
Local public school
Abandoned benches
Advertising the start of
A new weekend, yay
I cannot remember or recall
The last time I cried real
Tears of Joy!
I cry all the time
I cry often
I am not scared of the emotional
Ride I travel on every day
But this morning I opened my inbox
Opened a Youtube
Sweet Angel singing to me
After a week of anxiety
Fear, excitement, lack of sleep
Unable to work
On unpaid leave
Before I could even stop
I had a river of tears
River of Joy
Flowing down my cheeks
If this is the only
Reward I ever will earn
It is enough for me
It is more than enough
My heart is overflowing
Causing Tears of Joy
To run down my cheeks!
This post seems a bit unfair
A bit too easy for someone like me
Someone brought up in a land of inequality
When my best friend and I
Could have coffee in a cafe denied
The only way we could be friends
Is that we were not schooled
In the system of the state
But in a convent run by nuns
Where all were free no matter your skin
No matter your appearance
My friend and I
We are still friends
Bound together by love and not by chains
Pilates evening
No mercy! Kiss my mummy
Tummy into shape
Purple’s pale sister
Standing side by side for short
While, then say goodbye
One day only! Nature’s time
I like lots of books
Magazines and newspapers too
There are lots of things I like
But my book is not one of them
Because if I do not feel the love
It has no part of me
We love Love

To form a flower
Oh wow
I did a post
And then my nerves overruled
Not very modest of me
Not bearing much humility
I deleted it
And now I have no real post
And no poetry
