When my artist friend becomes famous
My claim to fame could be
I have a painting by her hand
From her hand as a friendship gift
Kindly given to me
He loves to sit and hear me sing,
Then laughing, sports and plays with me;
Then stretches out my golden wing,
And mocks my loss of liberty

Unknowing reindeer
Light up suburbia
Glow with lights unrefined
While not too far away
Lights go out in a chocolate cafe
Hostages held captive
Hope to see another day
Thoughts be to those involved
And to family of same

Cats and dogs
Twinkle in their
Very smart
Holiday
Attire
As your bright and tiny spark
Lights the traveller in the dark.
Though I know not what you are,

as if there are plenty of schools in the world
there is an empty school right here in Sydney
abandoned and not used
reminding us how much
education is key
