My love was wasted
With our first kiss
My love was wasted
With the very next
My love was wasted
Through all my tears
Through all your smiles
And all your charms
My love was wasted
Spent at your feet
You walked over it all –
A wasted love
My love was wasted
With our first kiss
My love was wasted
With the very next
My love was wasted
Through all my tears
Through all your smiles
And all your charms
My love was wasted
Spent at your feet
You walked over it all –
A wasted love
Oh for a brief moment
Share your love with me
Ease my aching pain
Set my passion free
Touch me like you used to
In times and days gone by
I will touch you like I used to
Before we said goodbye
I took your hand within my own
And held it softly while you cried
My heart leapt out to dry your tears –
Your pain imprinted on my soul
He haunts me in my dreams. Visions of skin and eyes and smiles and touch. Moments of bliss. Flesh. The flesh so strong. Overruling any sane thought straining to be heard. He is close to me. When I close my eyes, and my dreams roam unrestrained. We are together and I love him and he loves me. And then I wake.
The coffee is cold.
I love in the beginning of Love, Actually, we are told about the arrivals hall of an airport, when you stop and look around, there is only love. People greeting, and people leaving, and through both of these, there is love. During the tragic events of 9/11 there were only calls of love.
This song takes me back to 1994, being twenty and in love. I went to my grandparents for a mid-year holiday, and kept on hearing it on the radio. When I arrived back home, my polish boyfriend told me he missed me so much, and he loved me(!). (Bless him)
Be still, my beating heart 😍
Love, love, love
Let there be love ❤️
It doesn’t make sense
How you can love me like you do
And not even know my name
I cannot understand
How you can love me like you do
And turn around and walk away
I cannot explain
Why my arms remain open to you
Except for one lonely reason –
You love me like you do
I waited an eternity
For you to pull me close
And when your hand caressed my hair
So tenderly, and when I was pulled into
Your arms, I knew I was
Home
I loved you then
And now I find
I still do
