Exploding light –
Flowers as angels
Offering hope
Angry clouds loom
Casting shadows –
The steps I take
Are darkened by the
Absence of sun
No light shining
Today
As the tears fall
I wipe them away
Sometimes
Days were so dark that
Even the glow of a candle
Could not shed a flicker of light
But eventually
The darkness passed
And a summer sunflower
Could warm my shoulder again
A shadow without light
Would ne’er a shadow be named
But rather darkness descending
On never ending night
Like moonlight shadows
And shadows with light
A soul’s sore pain echoes
Sweet victory’s delight
One side of a coin
Is one half of a whole
The yin and the yang –
Whole is more than its parts
All joys this earth could bring
The depths of endless sea
Wind in sheltering trees
Could never separate
Thy child from Thy grace
I feel Thy presence
Surrounding me
Whispering
I am protected
I am loved
Safe, at
Peace
In darkest night
Light shines bright
Drinking sun
Capturing light
Reflecting beauty
A waiting world
Takes a break
Waiting for night
Waiting for light
A hesitant moon
Makes its move
Rising in power
Rising in might
