Scorched earth
Air heavy with
Fumes of thick smog
Heat rises from the
Dusty plainlands
Another day passed
Maybe tomorrow?
Once green shrubs
Thirst for the drops
To quench the drooping
Leaves, all of nature is
Quiet, still, wilting, tired
