Call for Coffee

Coffee, oh coffee

Where art thou?

Because grey skies loom

And I need you now!

Steamed Coffee

Rainy days

And dreamy morns

Books on tap

And smiles and yawns

Nothing beats

A lazy dawn –

Steamed coffee

While water falls

Cold Coffee

He haunts me in my dreams. Visions of skin and eyes and smiles and touch. Moments of bliss. Flesh. The flesh so strong. Overruling any sane thought straining to be heard. He is close to me. When I close my eyes, and my dreams roam unrestrained. We are together and I love him and he loves me. And then I wake.

The coffee is cold.

I’ve worked my way through all of 4 movies on the flight home. Omigosh is Sisters hilarious. Like you can’t help yourself laughing it is so slapstick funny. And the first scent walking through security is the strong smell of brewed coffee. Yes, please!

Wake Up!

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Daily Ritual.”

Every morning I start my day with a cup of tea. I am spoilt at home, my husband makes the tea for me. Of which I am very appreciative and always say thank you 🙂
My favorite mug is right there in the photo, taken two seconds ago.
My dad started the tradition when I was a child. Except everyone else had coffee, but for some reason I was the tea recipient. In those days I used to have added sugar, but quit the sugar in 2000.
I’ve always bought a coffee when I arrive at work. There is a coffee shop as we enter our building. For one whole week and a day, I have stopped this bad habit. And I’ve survived!
My tea is getting cold, have a lovely day xx

Meeting Place

We sat at a table and sipped coffee
We sat at a table just you and me
You looked into my eyes and saw my cue
I looked into your eyes and saw your blue
You reached your hand across the void
I reached my hand, I was overjoyed
What happened next is hard to say
What happened next is history
