Grey Clouds

Sometimes things happen for a reason

And we don’t always know how or why

Or even how it will end

Sometimes the world may seem against us

Or our family or friends

Or acquaintances

Sometimes we have no answer

And all we can do is trust

That behind every grey cloud

A bright sun is waiting to appear

Blushing Clouds

As the sun’s rays
Die from the ebbing day,
A celestial glow falls
On the waters below.

The clouds blush and bid
Day farewell, shyly
Welcoming night, as the sun
Drops and the light fails.

Guest

The clouds are hanging heavy and low
Like a curtain hiding the guest of the show
The star of the day – our sun and our light
Is held captive, dimming our sight

Crying Clouds

image

Raindrops splashing on my skin,
Wash away the tears flowing from my heart.
Joy and sorrow are intertwined
Dark and light to never part.

How I ache to see the sun,
To live my days without a fear.
So raindrops keep on falling
Let the clouds cry one last tear.

Cotton Clouds

image

Balls of cottonwool
Tumble across playground sky –
Heralding the storm

Storm

storm

I wanted to love you
And hold you, and
Cherish you
But the blue was
Lost behind the clouds
Lightning replaced the sun
Now all I want
Is shelter from the storm
