Strolling along in
The heat of the afternoon
I look up ahead
Triangle of blue
Catches my eye, I would say
Sky blue and it is!
Further up I look
And the blue changes a shade –
Growing light, but why?
Raise my eyes towards
Heaven above, what could be
The possible cause?
There it is, I see
Most stunning, awesome round ball
Vision of pure light
Shining from above
Beaming rays of sunshine warmth
Embracing the earth
My heart once again
Sings out at the miracle
Been given to us
That we would have but
A sun as fine as the one
Shining forth today!
