I cannot pretend to love
I have nothing more to give
I have no golden magic wand
And my arms are not long enough
To caress the world in a giant
Fake hug

Beached
Take my burdens
The heavy and the dead
And leave them on the beach
For strong waves to fetch
And carry far away
Scars
The scars of your love
Are etched over the surface
Of my broken heart
Grace

Protected by grace
Against backdrops of the wise
Fresh hope springs to life
Curves
Your hands
Traced the
Softness
Of my body.
Your lips
Kissed each
Running
Contour.
I was your
Woman
And yielded
My curves
To you.
Solitude
In the stillness
Of my solitude
All our memories
We lovingly made
Fill my mind and make
Me miss you more than
I can say
Butterfly Wishes

Butterfly wings
And butterfly kisses
Caress my skin
And grant me wishes
Wishes of hope
And love and smiles
Butterflies carry
Across our miles
And we love
Butterflies!
Mask
My thoughts lie naked
Without covering
Without shame
My desire reveals
Its passion
Its need
I have no mask
To protect myself
I am yours to hold
To love
Bleeding Words
I wished for poetry
A line or two
He said
I will not write for you
I replied
I will write for you
I wrote
Until
There were no words left
And my fingers bled
He stayed true
And did not write for me
Whisper

All joys this earth could bring
The depths of endless sea
Wind in sheltering trees
Could never separate
Thy child from Thy grace
I feel Thy presence
Surrounding me
Whispering
I am protected
I am loved
Safe, at
Peace
