“I know you think that I shouldn’t still love you,
Or tell you that.
But if I didn’t say it, well I’d still have felt it
Where’s the sense in that?”
…
“I’m in love and always will be”
Dido – White Flag

“Seems like yesterday
Not far away
When she first came to him
She took him by surprise
He closed his eyes
And sinking tried to swim
She never closed the door
So he came back for more”
Ed Jordan, Proudly South African 1997
Omigosh, this triggers memory and emotion in me.
Amazing song by Brian Wilson. Watched the movie Love and Mercy yesterday, really enjoyed it. Such an eye-opener.

Age 22, looking over at my first true love
I fell in love when I was nineteen. It was crazy hectic. I used to listen to this song on the radio in the afternoons. While I was supposed to be studying. I instinctively knew not to chase him away. I let him come to me. It was the best time of my life. My life’s not over yet. Maybe I will get more best times.
Music to soothe the soul
Sharing one of my South African favorites, I used to listen to it while driving around Johannesburg ❤
Freshlyground – Proudly South African
I heard this on the bus this morning, one of my all-time favorites.
“With you eternally mine,
in love there is no measure of time”.
I listened to this song nearly every day on the way to work three years ago. The Parlotones are one of the bands that remind me of ‘home’. I listened to it again this evening, and the words take me right back to 2012 and my life experience at the time. I hope you enjoy it! ❤
I have this song playing in my mind. I tried to google the lyrics, but they don’t seem to be listed anywhere. So I will share this song with you. It really transports me home. I just *love* the voice of this South African artist!! Your thoughts?
