At the harbor’s edge
A water’s triangle and
Dry land forms a square

Majestic carpet
Laid out regally while I
Would dream, purple snow
Looking through Glass
Through glass I see doors,
Walls, floors, ceilings and faintly –
My reflected self
Return to Sender
Outliving the heart
Of a grandma dear, this
Gift is mine once more

Is a tapestry that was
From my mother’s hand
She bought this deeming
It to be so beautiful
