A Child
Born in innocence
The love of a child
Seed falling to earth
To germinate and grow
Becoming citizens of this
World, each babe that is born
Carries a light and a love
Holy blessings bestow
Keeping company with
Truth and liberty, to
Brighten our world
Thank you for your kind
Words of support, I will reply
To each one a bit later

Dawn and Dusk
Dawn
Sunrise surrounds me
As the morning birds sing
Their morning song
Softy and sweetly
Sharing morning stories
Of new days and of life
And hope surreal
Dusk
Dogs bark and growl
As the sun dissolves
From the day and is replaced
By a quarter moon
The wolves howl and night owls
Awaken from their slumber
To greet the
Deep dank darkness
Of a dying day

Burning House

My house is on fire
Have nowhere to go
My home is in flames
The timbers are low
I look to the east
I look to the west
And feel my heart ache
My soul’s treasure chest
Fruits of my faith
Are what I would take
Hope, faith, joy, love and peace
Everything else I could forsake
