A gigantic wall is in front of me. Blocking my way. I need to get to the other side. I need to get to paradise.
I look behind and the earth has fallen away.
I look to the left, and as my heart sinks, I fear my right, knowing what to expect.
The sun beats me, as it gets hold of my skin. The crystal blue sky is beautiful and merciless with the absence of any cloud.
There is no shade.
Paradise is just past the wall. That gigantic barrier blocking my way.
And so I wonder. I question.
How do I get over it. I have no ladder. I cannot climb. My hands are small and I am not strong.
How do I get over it. While my skin burns and my heart races, I sit myself down.
I need to think.
Walls are made to be climbed. In the military we learn. High walls take two to climb over. One to assist one soldier up and the soldier on the wall pull the other soldier up and both make the climb and they go forward. Sometimes the strongest need help. A powerful poem. Made me think.

Thank you John for sharing this. Words I will continue to read in the coming days. What happens when there is only one soldier? What should he do then?

One soldier. Built a ladder of some item. Seek a better way.

Don’t afraid to seek help. In the military. Take a team to accomplish the task. Always someone, who can assist. Must just seek and ask.

When you learn to walk, the stones on the road you will find many times. Overcoming them is the challenge of life. If we can not, we have to try again. I loved it.
